• WW2 BRITISH ARP HELMET AND BADGE....1

    £36.00

There is only 1 item left in stock.

THE HELMET HAS NO LINER AND THE BLACK PAINTWORK IS CHIPPED.

INTERESTING TO NOTE THERE IS A DIVISIONAL SYMBOL OF A RED SQUARE ON THE HELMET WHICH HAS BEEN PAINTED OVER.

THIS SYMBOL IS OF THE 8TH INFANTRY DIVISION WITH WAS DISBANDED IN 1919 BUT REACTIVATED IN PALESTINE IN THE LATE 1930'S UNDER BERNARD MONTGOMERY.

THIS WOULD EXPLAIN THE DESERT PAINT COLOUR WHICH CAN BE SEEN ON THE INSIDE OF THE HELMET.

THE DIVISION WAS FINALLY DISBANDED IN 1940 AND IT APPEARS ONE OF THE HELMETS GOT PAINTED BLACK AND WENT ON TO SERVE IN THE ARP.

COME COMPLETE WITH A WHITE METAL ARP BADGE.

    FREE UK POSTAGE.
