    ALL FOUR PIECES ARE ON PARCHMENT AND CONCERN JOHN JAMES PARRY WHO WAS A SOLDIER OF THE MANCHESTER REGIMENT ANS SERVED IN SOUTH AFRICA AND WON THE SOUTH AFRICAN MEDAL (SECOND BOER WAR AND CAN BEEN SEEN IN PICTURE NO.2)

    THE SET INCLUDES PARCHMENT RESERVE CERTIFICATE, PARCHMENT CERTIFICATE OF CHARACTER ON DISCHARGE, PARCHMENT CERTIFICATE OF DISCHARGE AND CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE IN THE ROYAL NAVY.

    HE SIGNED UP WHEN HE WAS 20 1/2 YEARS OLD AND SERVED 2 YEARS 95 DAYS IN THE ARMY BEFORE DISCHARGING HIMSELF WHEN HE RETURNED TO THE UK.

    HE THEN JOINED THE ROYAL NAVY ON THE 7TH JUNE 1904.

    HIS CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE IN THE ROYAL NAVY IS WORN BUT THERE IS A CLEAR LIST OF ALL THE SHIPS HE SERVED ON DURING WW1 (PICTURE 8 & 9).

    ALSO INCLUDED IS TWO PHOTOGRAPHS OF HIS TIME IN SOUTH AFRICA.
