The guard and scabbard are blackened steel.

The scabbard has a few minor rust spots but is near mint.There are no dents or dings.

The blade is inscribed on the back with the makers name and date 1870?.

The blade shows age staining but is generally clean.

Nice polished brass grip with working catch.
